Had a cheap crockpot for 15 years.
When it died, my husband bought a
nice Rival slowcooker for me for a gift. It has never worked properly.
It has hairline cracks in the stoneware, and even though it has a low and high setting, it only cooks on SUPER HIGH. I could never leave the applicance for more than an hour for fear of it burning up. I have used it 3 times and had the same experience each time.
Called customer service, and because it was past one yr. warranty. Was told that it was ok to use it since that model was not on the recall list. They could only offer a 15% coupon with an online purchase.
Thanks, but that wouldn't even cover the shipping.
Warning to consumers, use your gifts immediately, you might get better customer service if you have a lemon.

I got married Sept. 5, 1975 and got a rival crockpot for a wedding present. 35 1/2 years later using the crockpot weekly it finally went to crockpot heaven. This is such a remarkable product and such a big part of our lives I thought you deserved to know. We cantjust part with the crockpot, when summer gets here we will use it as a flower pot. What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.

The high setting on the base quit working on mine... and I hadn't even used it that much! Now, I can only use the pot on the stovetop; the base is just a big, heavy coaster for the pot. Can I get a replacement base anywhere? The pot is just fine.

We love our Trio...bought it at Costco and use it all the time. We have children that like blander food than the two adults so often for dinner we have 2 entrees cooking in separate crocks and a soup or veggie in the 3rd. For parties we do a taco/burrito bar with melted queso, a shredded meat and then a chili. For a dessert bar we keep chocolate, vanilla, and butterscotch puddings (use cooked puddings, NOT instant) in the pots and dip bananas, angel food cake and strawberries. We use our Trio so often that we made counter space for it.

I have this crock pot & was happy with it--but the lid chipped and then the handles broke off without the slightest procation!
not happy---throw it out & get a new one, I guess---no replacement parts to be found!

I have a rival crock pot I purchased at Target store approximately five months ago.
Last night when I used it for slow cooking I found a CRACKED pot and liquid all over my countertop.

Glory be to things made in China!

Obviously I will try to replace this item with something made anywhere else than China.

My last loved crockpot lasted 20 years!

I'm the sort of hombre who enjoys to taste brand-new stuff. Right now I am manufacturing my hold photovoltaic panels. I'm making it all alone without the help of my men. I am using the internet as the only path to acheive that. I saw a truly brilliant website which explains how to make photovoltaic panels and so on. The site explains all the steps required to constructing solar panels.

I am not exactly sure about how accurate the info given there iz. If some guys over here who have xp with these works can have a see and give your feedback in the thread it will be awesome and I would highly value it, because I extremely like solar panel construction.

My daughter has a Versaware Crock-Pot model #SCV1600. While she was away recently my son-in-law broke the lid. She loves this pot and uses it everyweek many times. Does anyone where we can order just a lid for her model number?
